It not all Bitter Blues out here...

Being a Manchester United fan, the amount of Manchester City coverage out in Abu Dhabi does my head in. Manchester City are owned by Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed al Nahyan, borther of the Emir of the UAE. City are also sponsored by Etihad, that national airline of Abu Dhabi. The 'bitter blues' appear in the National newspaper everyday, even ahead of the the local teams of Al Wahda and Al Jazira. You don't see any local team's replica shirts yet there are tonnes of shops trying to shift City shirts.

However, the tide is turning slightly with the news that Manchester United will be opening a soccer school here in October. There are running 10-week sessions and expect to coach around 400 children. I'll now have to keep my eye open for a United 'ambassador' coming out here to promote the school, I might just be able to meet Brian Robson or '20Legend' Solskjaer!

And just in case you forgot...
